This intensive 1.5-day hands-on course, led by Dr. Dania Tamimi, is designed to enhance the diagnostic skills of orthodontists and dental professionals in cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) interpretation. Participants will gain practical experience in evaluating dentoalveolar structures, TMJ, and airway anatomy, with a focus on clinical applications in orthodontics. Through interactive case-based learning, attendees will develop proficiency in identifying dental impactions, pathology, optimal TAD placement sites, and assessing TMJ and airway abnormalities

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

1. Master CBCT navigation and interpretation for orthodontic diagnosis and treatment planning.

2. Identify and diagnose dental impactions (canines, molars) and assess their 3D relationships to adjacent structures.

3. Recognize common dental and osseous pathology visible on CBCT and understand their implications for orthodontic treatment.

4. Plan optimal sites for Temporary Anchorage Device (TAD) placement using CBCT to avoid root damage and ensure stability.

5. Evaluate TMJ anatomy and pathologies (e.g., condylar resorption, degenerative changes) relevant to orthodontic treatment.

6. Assess airway dimensions and obstructions and understand their impact on treatment outcomes.

7. Integrate CBCT findings into comprehensive orthodontic treatment plans for improved patient outcomes.
