Prof. dr hab. n. med. Jan Pietruski
A graduate of the Medical University of Bialystok, where he qualified as
a doctor of medicine in 1989 and a doctor of dental surgery in 1992. On
completion of his studies in 1992 he spent 8 years employed at the
Department of Dental Prosthetics as a junior lecturer and assistant
professor. Specialist of Prosthetic Dentistry. In 1996 he defended his
doctoral thesis and in 2013 habilitation.
He has gained professional experience in both Poland and abroad,
primarily in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and USA. Since the beginning
of his medical career he has published articles in numerous specialist
journals. He is the author of dozens of articles and conference papers,
as well as the monograph Periodontal-Implantological Plastic Surgery,
which appeared in 2010 and later in 2013. In addition he is the
co-author of the textbooks An Atlas of Prosthetic Work for Treating the
Patient and Regeneration of periodontal tissues (Quintessence 2016).
Since 1999 Dr. Jan Pietruski has provided training for dentists in
both Poland and abroad in such areas as dental prosthetics with a
special emphasis on large prosthetic restorations, occlusal disorders
and aesthetics.
He is a member, founder and former president of the Polish Academy of
Aesthetic Dentistry. He is the editor-in-chief of the Polish edition of
European Journal of Aesthetic Dentistry, member of editorial board and
reviewer of several dental journals.
