- Develop clinical judgement and the ability to make conscious surgical decisions.
- Learn to anticipate surgical consequences rather than simply follow techniques.
- Develop a precise, gentle and controlled approach to implant surgery.
- Gain the confidence and mindset needed to progress through the Steigmann Institute Modules 1–5
WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
Designed for dentists at the beginning of their implant journey, as well as clinicians who have already started placing implants and want to build a stronger, more structured foundation. Ideal for those willing to take the path of Steigmann Institute Curriculum.
Beginners will gain the essential knowledge, practical skills and clinical framework needed to approach their first implant cases safely and predictably, while more experienced clinicians will have the opportunity to review fundamental principles, compare different systems and techniques, and refine their clinical judgement.
PROGRAMME
This program is intensive and patient-centered, with various implant systems available on site for you to try, understand and compare. Designed to set the right mindset for your future surgical career. Lectures cover anatomy, preparation, ergonomics and the tools you need to know to start your implant journey. We will discuss reliable protocols and challenge common myths, as well as complications and post-surgical patient management. Hands-on sessions cover placement of multiple implant systems and healing abutments, as well as sutures and knots on models and animal specimens. There is also a special hand-torque check exercise, unlike anywhere else, that will teach you to work gently with prosthetic components.
Beyond techniques and decision trees, you will learn to think, develop clinical judgement and understand the surgical consequences of your actions. After this masterclass, you will be more than ready to start your journey with Modules 1-5 of the Steigmann Institute Soft Management for Bone Regeneration.
